A premier global alternative investment firm is seeking an AVP, Fund Accountant to support complex real estate and distressed credit strategies. This is an excellent opportunity to gain broad exposure across fund accounting, investor reporting, and cross-functional collaboration within a highly sophisticated investment platform. Company Information: A leading global alternative investment manager with a strong presence across credit, private equity, and real estate strategies, managing significant institutional capital through a disciplined and highly collaborative investment platform. Job Description: Maintain books and records for multiple NPL and real estate funds in accordance with US GAAP Review monthly books and records prepared by third-party fund administrators Monitor and report estimated and final fund PnL and performance returns Review economic allocations, management fee calculations, waterfall calculations, and investor statements Calculate investor capital calls, distributions, and track unfunded commitments Prepare internal and external reporting deliverables, including investor and regulatory requests Review fund expense payments and management fee reimbursements while resolving cash breaks Review quarterly and annual financial statements, footnotes, and disclosures Partner cross-functionally with Operations, Legal, Tax, Investor Relations, Financial Reporting, and Technology teams Assist with improving accounting systems, processes, and financial reporting workflows Requirements / Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting 5+ years of audit, fund accounting, or fund administration experience Experience across hedge funds, private equity, real estate, or other complex fund structures Strong knowledge of US GAAP and fund accounting principles Experience with fixed income securities, equities, repos, and financial derivatives Strong proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office; Alteryx and Power BI preferred Experience reviewing consolidated and combined financial statements Strong understanding of financial systems and data-driven processes Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment CPA is a plus but not required #J-18808-Ljbffr Mission Staffing
