Shift: 12-Hour Nights (Nights)

Hours/Week: 36-40

Licenses/Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, CPI or MOAB

Experience: Minimum 2 years ER experience required

Additional notes: First-time travelers must have 2 years of permanent staff RN experience in acute care; separation for 1 year if previously employed as perm staff

What You'll Do

• Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced ER setting
• Manage ventilators, critical care drips, and cardiac rhythm interpretation
• Conduct assessments and assist with procedures like splinting, chest tubes, and hemodynamic monitoring
• Support patient stabilization and coordinate care for trauma, stroke, cardiac, and other emergencies
• Collaborate with physicians, techs, and hospital staff to ensure high-quality care
• Document patient care using Meditech Expanse EMR system
• Demonstrate professionalism and adhere to patient safety protocols

What You Need

• Active RN license in Louisiana or eligible to obtain
• Minimum 2 years ER experience in acute care setting
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, CPI or MOAB certifications
• Proficiency in ventilator management, cardiac rhythm, and critical care procedures
• Ability to pass an EKG competency exam prior to arrival
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work under pressure
