Registered Nurse – Emergency Room

Contract | Mid Shift (12-Hour Shifts) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Level IV Trauma Emergency Department treating 40–60 patients per day, including traumas, MVAs, strokes, and STEMIs
• Manage patient assignments with nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:3–4, with responsibilities adjusting based on shift and staffing levels
• Perform triage in designated triage rooms following facility policies and procedures after orientation review
• Care for patients in Fast Track, trauma bays, and overflow holding areas including attached ACU rooms as needed
• Collaborate with ED physicians, mid-level providers, respiratory therapy, phlebotomy, and ancillary support staff to coordinate patient care
• Rotate variable shift start times and work every other weekend (Saturday and Sunday), with holiday rotation as required

Required Qualifications

• Active Michigan Registered Nurse (RN) license – must be in hand at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department nursing experience
• Current ACLS certification
• Current BLS certification
• Current PALS certification
• Current TNCC certification

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with trauma patients, cardiac monitoring, and variable drip management
• Comfort with triage workflows and fast-paced, high-acuity emergency environments
• Familiarity with floating to inpatient units to assist as needed
