Position Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is looking for you to join our team as a Production Controller 2 based out of Rolling Meadows, IL . What You Will Get To Do The selected candidate will be joining the Production Control organization, a critical operations team that drives efficiency and collaboration across manufacturing and production processes. Our primary focus is ensuring seamless execution on the shop floor by managing order creation and release, material flow, hardware movement between work cells, and close partnership with the Integrated Product Team (IPT). By blending operational precision with cross‑functional collaboration, Production Control supports manufacturing excellence and helps the business achieve its overarching goals. The manufacturing environment requires precision, attention to data, details, and quality. This Production Controller 2 role will support daily operations within a manufacturing and warehouse environment, with primary responsibilities to maintain shop orders and ensure availability for the production and repair of hardware. The selected candidate will expedite the flow of materials, parts, and assemblies within or between departments in accordance with the manufacturing schedule on all assigned programs. The position involves processing hardware, organizing contents, and ensuring accurate handling and distribution throughout the facility. The individual will perform data entry and maintain detailed records using enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems such as GOLDesp and SAP. Success in this role requires strong computer proficiency, a high level of attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple conflicting priorities in a fast‑paced setting. The position also involves supporting hardware movement using equipment such as pallet jacks and crane hoists, while adhering to all safety protocols. This role is critical to maintaining operational flow, record accuracy, and overall efficiency within manufacturing operations. The Ideal Candidate Will Possess Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate handling of information Good written and verbal communication skills for cross‑functional collaboration Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office suite) and ability to learn new software quickly Experience prioritizing and managing multiple conflicting tasks in a fast‑paced setting Basic Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance U.S. citizenship required Preferred Qualifications Experience working in a manufacturing, warehouse, or production control environment Experience with logistics and support of government property Experience maintaining accurate records Experience with GOLDesp, SAP, or similar ERP systems Experience with basic quality processes, compliance guidelines, and participation in routine audits Prior pallet jack and/or crane hoist certification(s) Active security clearance What We Can Offer You Northrop Grumman provides a comprehensive benefits package and a work environment that encourages growth and supports the mutual success of our people and our company. Compensation Primary level salary range: $41,300.00 – $68,900.00. The salary range is a general guideline; final base pay is determined by scope and responsibilities, experience, education, skills, and market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses reward individual contributions and company results. Employees in VP or Director positions may be eligible for long‑term incentives.
