Manager, Executive Communications - Financial Services We’re seeking an influential communicator who has experience writing high‑quality, high‑visibility content for executives, solving complex problems using creative communications techniques, leveraging data and technology to shape engagement strategies, and working in cross‑functional teams to drive results. In Financial Services at Capital One, we believe internal and external communications go hand‑in‑hand. In this role, you’ll lead communications efforts in a variety of channels, with an emphasis on internal executive communications, associate engagement communications and change management communications. Additionally, you will play a key role in supporting internal communications for divisional/campus events, contribute to our regular survey deployment and analysis strategy, and execute both internal and external executive writing. Who We Are The Financial Services Communications team is made up of intentional, strategic and creative problem‑solving experts. We proactively deliver innovative, relevant and engaging content in support of our divisional president, his vision and his strategy. Responsibilities Lead internal communications strategy development for several senior leaders, drafting talking points, email updates, organizational changes and associate engagement messaging, among other initiatives. Leverage data to drive improvements to our internal communications channels. Lead communication efforts and processes for internal divisional and associate engagement events, including recognition events. Lead complex internal communications and change‑management campaigns. Draft talking points and prep documents for executive‑level internal events. Contribute to internal and external storytelling strategy and initiatives. Partner cross‑functionally on key initiatives with the ability to manage high‑visibility projects, gather input from a variety of stakeholders, and drive results. Openly and actively contribute as a member of the Financial Services Communications team, identifying key opportunities and taking the lead on developing solutions that address both internal and external needs. Strategic partner: Helps shape strategy and initiatives, ensures successful measurement of campaigns by aligning on metrics and measuring results. Team player: Helps us achieve more than the sum of our parts by collaborating effectively with others, encouraging an inclusive culture with diverse teammates and mentoring teammates. Deadline driven: Ability to adhere to and set deadlines, and deliver quality work within them. Basic Qualifications High School Diploma, GED or equivalent certification. At least 6 years of experience in corporate communications, internal communications, public relations, journalism, marketing, social media management, writing, or a combination. At least 3 years of experience in communication strategy development for internal communications or executive leaders. At least 2 years of experience in ghostwriting. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, English or Journalism. Previous experience in financial services, technology, or similar organization. 8+ years of experience in corporate communications, public relations, marketing or writing. 3+ years experience in ghostwriting. 3+ years of experience editing using AP Style. Salary & Benefits At this time, Capital One will not sponsor a new applicant for employment authorization for this position. Minimum and maximum full‑time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location: Plano, TX: $122,100 - $139,400 This role is also eligible to earn performance‑based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long‑term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non‑discretionary depending on the plan.
