Principal Scientist, Cell Therapy Translational Biology Research

Bristol Myers Squibb seeks a Principal Scientist to lead translational biology research for clinical-stage cell therapy assets in oncology and autoimmune indications. The role involves designing laboratory studies, developing biomarker strategies, and generating data to support regulatory submissions and clinical decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead focused research projects with independent judgment in experimental design and interpretation
• Design and execute translational data packages supporting regulatory submissions and indication expansion
• Contribute to biomarker strategy and patient stratification approaches for clinical guidance
• Lead development and optimization of novel in vitro assays and translational research models
• Serve as technical subject matter expert and mentor to junior scientists; represent team on cross-functional program teams

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree with 8+ years experience, or Master's with 6+ years, or Ph.D. with 4+ years in life sciences
• Expertise in immunology or cellular biology; knowledge of oncology and autoimmune diseases desirable
• Demonstrated ability to independently design, execute, and interpret complex experiments
• Proficiency with flow cytometry, cell culture, imaging techniques, and Incucyte software
• Experience with high-content data analysis (transcriptomic, proteomic) and Electronic Lab Notebooks
• Familiarity with drug development process from IND filing through late-stage development preferred
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams

Compensation: $152,360 - $184,628 base
