Front Desk Coordinator

Strayer Contracting Inc

Strayer Contracting is looking for an organized, personable Front Desk Coordinator to run the day-to-day operations of our office. You'll be the first point of contact for visitors and vendors, the go-to person keeping our Project Managers and field teams supplied and supported, and a key part of how smoothly our office runs. This role touches nearly every part of the business — HR support, vendor and supply management, safety reporting, and general office operations — so it's a great fit for someone who's proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable juggling a variety of tasks in a fast-paced construction environment. What You’ll Do Produce and distribute a weekly Toolbox Tips sheet to all Superintendents Maintain accurate, up-to-date employee records, including start dates, birth dates, and personnel files Track vehicle and equipment maintenance (oil changes, emissions, tires, mileage, tags) and keep records current Manage outgoing mail and shipping, including our FedEx account for priority shipments Monitor and order office, kitchen, and cleaning supplies, comparing prices across vendors and timing deliveries appropriately Coordinate dumpster service and other facility needs with the warehouse team Support hiring: prepare application packets, review completed applications for accuracy, verify required documentation (ID, Social Security card, vaccination card if applicable), and prepare New Hire Checklists Coordinate with the accounting team to set up new employee files and onboarding paperwork Maintain office water and coffee service, including ordering supplies as needed Report and log workplace injuries and incidents in accordance with company policy and OSHA requirements Support auto and property/liability claims reporting as needed Assist Project Managers and Assistant Project Managers with daily administrative needs, including printing O&M manuals Run occasional office errands (supply runs, MVA trips, and similar tasks) Track and reconcile company purchase card receipts, following up with employees on missing documentation What We’re Looking For Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Comfortable managing multiple priorities and interruptions in a busy office Clear, professional communication skills, both written and verbal Basic proficiency with office software (Microsoft Office, QuickBooks a plus) A proactive, no-task-too-small attitude Prior front desk, office administration, or HR support experience preferred About Strayer Contracting Strayer Contracting is a Maryland-based commercial construction company known for reliable project delivery and a strong, supportive team culture. #J-18808-Ljbffr
