Lifeguard Instructor

Lifeguards in the Swim Corps program play a critical role in maintaining a safe, supportive, and inclusive aquatic environment for all participants. As part of Rising Tide Effect’s paid, earn-while-you-learn workforce development program for NYCHA youth, lifeguards actively supervise pool activities while developing leadership, professionalism, and career-ready skills in aquatics and the blue economy. Lifeguards are responsible for enforcing safety protocols, responding to emergencies, and modeling calm, confident behavior on deck. This role is ideal for individuals interested in water safety, community service, and future careers in aquatics or related fields. Lifeguarding hours would be from 2:00pm to 5:00pm on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. This role contributes to Rising Tide Effect's mission to expand water safety education and build skills relevant to summer programs, youth leadership, and blue economy careers in Brooklyn and New York City. #J-18808-Ljbffr Risingtideeffect
