Associate Attorney

Overview We are an established civil litigation defense firm representing businesses, insurers, and professionals in complex litigation matters throughout North Carolina. Our attorneys handle a broad range of cases including construction litigation, commercial disputes, products liability, professional liability, and premises liability matters. Job Details Position: Associate Attorney (full‑time) Seniority: 3+ years of civil litigation experience required. Schedule: Hybrid (office and remote), 40 hours per week. Responsibilities Manage a caseload of civil litigation matters from inception through resolution. Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and legal memoranda. Conduct legal research and prepare case evaluations. Take and defend depositions. Attend court hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials as needed. Communicate directly with clients, opposing counsel, experts, and insurers. Develop litigation strategy and assist with trial preparation. Maintain accurate billing and case‑management records. Qualifications Juris Doctor from an accredited law school. Active North Carolina bar license in good standing. Minimum 3 years of civil litigation experience. Experience in construction, commercial, products liability, professional, or premises liability preferred. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Experience handling discovery, depositions, and motion practice. Self‑motivated, organized, with strong time‑management and teamwork skills. Benefits Medical, dental, and vision insurance.
