Solutions Engineer - End-of-Line Automation

Salary: $115,000 - 155,000 per year Requirements:

• We are looking for someone with 3+ years in a pre-sales technical capacity such as Solutions Engineer, Applications Engineer, or Automation Engineer.
• We require 3+ years of experience in manufacturing settings such as packaging, food production, industrial operations, or similar environments.
• A bachelors degree in Engineering is required, preferably in Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, Mechatronics, Robotics, or a related technical discipline; an equivalent mix of technical education and relevant automation experience may be considered.
• You should be able to build trust and confidently lead solution-focused discussions with manufacturing customers.
• You need the ability to run meetings with varied stakeholders and explain technical details in terms of business impact.
• Experience in one or more automation areas, especially palletizing and/or case packing, is strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with major 6-axis robot manufacturers such as FANUC, KUKA, Yaskawa, ABB, or Universal Robots is required.
• Proficiency in CAD drafting and reviewing customer layout and process documentation is needed.
• You must be highly organized and able to manage several parallel scopes and deliverables.
• Willingness to travel up to 35-40% is required.
• A valid drivers license and access to a personal vehicle for local travel are required.
• Extra experience in consultative sales, technical sales, or customer-facing solution design is a plus.
• Experience supporting the adoption of new technology in production environments is also a bonus.

• We partner with prospective customers and Sales to understand production challenges, operational limits, and automation needs.
• We lead technical discovery and gather requirements to shape solution design.
• We analyze production data, CAD files, parts lists, and process information to define accurate scopes of work.
• We design and scope robotic automation solutions using our modular automation portfolio.
• We create rapid cost estimates to support proposals and help move deals forward.
• We refine solutions based on input from customers, Sales, and internal technical stakeholders.
• We join customer meetings and design reviews throughout the pre-sales process.
• We ensure smooth handoffs from Sales/Solutions to Deployment by documenting requirements and assumptions clearly.
• We manage multiple proposals and technical workstreams at the same time.
• We recommend improvements to standard designs, tools, and procedures based on field learnings.
• We identify gaps in our technical, operational, or commercial offering from customer feedback.
• We visit customer sites as needed to support discovery, validation, and scoping.
