Registered Nurse - Cardiovascular Operating Room

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

12 Hour Rotating Shifts (Day and Evening) with 10-day or 12-day options.

• Weekdays: 0645-1715 or 0645-1915
• Call Requirements: Must be flexible with scheduling, including weekday night calls and one full weekend of call every 5 weeks.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will provide high-quality care in a cardiovascular operating room, scrubbing and circulating during procedures. This role requires a proactive approach to patient care and collaboration with a dedicated healthcare team to achieve optimal outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Scrub and circulate in the cardiovascular operating room
• Provide patient care and support throughout the surgical process
• Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure a safe and efficient environment
• May be required to float to other OR suites (general, ortho, neuro, ENT, etc.)

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current BLS certification required; CNOR preferred
• A minimum of 2 years of recent Operating Room RN experience, specifically in cardiovascular/open heart
• Prior travel experience is required
• Experience in a large (500+ beds), academic, teaching hospital is necessary
• Epic experience from within the past 2 years is non-negotiable
