GGP: Accounting Manager Consultant

Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking an Accounting Consultant to assist their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting pay rate of $45.00 to $55.00 per hour.

Job Responsibilities:

• Manage core accounting activities in QuickBooks, including month end tasks, reconciliations, and entry review.
• Build and maintain Excel budget files, update actuals, and prepare variance explanations for leadership.
• Track grants and related allocations, review program costs, and ensure spending aligns with funding guidelines.
• Monitor event budgets, analyze spending by category or vendor, and reconcile costs with grant and budget records.
• Coordinate data flow from third party payment systems into QuickBooks and resolve discrepancies promptly.

• Experience with QuickBooks Online or QuickBooks Desktop and comfort working in a hands on role.
• Strong Excel skills, including lookups, pivot tables, and error checking within budget and actuals files.
• Background in accounting with exposure to month end close and budget to actual reporting.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities with urgency in a mostly remote setting while communicating clearly.
• Nonprofit experience, including familiarity with grants, allocations, and program expense tracking.

• Proven ability to produce accurate budgets, tie out results, and explain differences to plan.
• Skill in organizing financial data, reconciling accounts, and working with higher value transactions.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to track spending trends and provide actionable insights.
• Collaborative approach with a readiness to escalate issues and partner across teams to resolve them.
• Quick learner who can start fast, adapt to changing timelines, and maintain consistent attention to detail.
