Customer Service Specialist

We are seeking a detail-oriented Customer Service Specialist to join a growing operations team in Virginia Beach, VA . This role offers a dynamic blend of customer support, administrative coordination, and operational responsibility, with potential for long-term growth. This is a Temp-to-Hire position with a stable, growing company! Responsibilities: Serve as the first point of contact by answering incoming calls, assisting walk-in customers, and routing inquiries appropriately Manage incoming shipments from vendors and internal locations, ensuring accurate receipt and documentation Update and maintain purchase orders in internal systems Participate in quarterly inventory counts and maintain accurate inventory records Process depot/service repairs, including creating service orders and coordinating shipments to third-party repair providers Track and manage the return and delivery of repaired equipment to customers Generate and process invoices for sales and service orders within designated timelines Upload invoices to customer portals as required Process customer payments, including credit card transactions Maintain accurate customer account records and collections notes Coordinate weekly payment processing and documentation Qualifications: 2-3 years of experience in customer service, office management or administrative support Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail Comfortable managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment Experience with inventory tracking, billing, or order processing systems preferred Basic accounting or accounts receivable knowledge is a plus Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word) Strong communication and problem-solving skills High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education is a plus $19–$22 per hour, based on experience Health, dental, and vision benefits offered once permanent Schedule : Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (onsite) Temp-to-hire #J-18808-Ljbffr Find Great People | FGP
