Mechanical Design Engineer — Morbark Division

In this role, you'll lead design projects for product modifications and new product development, working hands-on with steel fabrication, weldments, diesel and gasoline engines, drivetrains, hydraulics, and electronic controls. Your work will bring to life a diverse product line — from small, hand-fed tree care chippers and stump grinders to large industrial chippers, horizontal and vertical grinders, flails, and sawmill equipment. What You'll Do

• p]:pt-0 [&> p]:mb-2 [&> p]:my-0"> Partner with sales, production, service, and operations teams, providing the technical support they need to make and meet commitments.

• p]:pt-0 [&> p]:mb-2 [&> p]:my-0"> Support manufacturing by maintaining and updating prints to ensure configuration control of products as they're built.

• p]:pt-0 [&> p]:mb-2 [&> p]:my-0"> Pursue your own goals while contributing to department objectives and driving continuous process improvement.

What You Bring

Education and Experience

• p]:pt-0 [&> p]:mb-2 [&> p]:my-0"> Bachelor's degree preferred, ideally in Mechanical Engineering; we'll also consider an associate degree and/or relevant work experience in place of formal education.

• p]:pt-0 [&> p]:mb-2 [&> p]:my-0"> 1–3 years of design engineering–related experience, including internship or co-op experience.
