This is a rare opportunity to shape a company's financial infrastructure at its foundation: designing scalable processes, standing up day-to-day accounting operations, and safeguarding the long-term financial health of a fast-growing startup.The ideal candidate pairs deep accounting expertise with a proven ability to thrive in ambiguity, moving fast and bringing structure where none exists yet. This is a unique opportunity to make a foundational impact at a fast-growing startup.This is a hybrid role based out of our San Francisco office, with 3 days onsite per week. Candidates must be located in the SF Bay Area, or willing to relocate at their own expense prior to start. We are not considering fully remote candidates for this role.What You'll DoLead global accounting operations, including foreign subsidiary management, transfer pricing, FX exposure, and multi-currency consolidated reportingOwn month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close, including global consolidation and intercompany eliminations, ensuring timely and accurate reportingOwn technical accounting policy, especially revenue recognition (ASC 606) for evolving and hybrid business modelsOversee general ledger activities, journal entries, and account reconciliations across US and international entitiesPrepare internal reporting and ad hoc financial analyses to support leadership decision-makingOversee international, federal, state, and local tax compliance in partnership with external advisors, along with other regulatory filingsOwn the roadmap for financial systems, including leading ERP implementationLead audits and serve as primary liaison with external auditorsBuild, mentor, and scale the accounting team as the company growsWhat You BringBachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA10+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience with deep technical accounting expertise, including ASC 606 and SaaS metricsTrack record of building and scaling accounting operations: policies, systems, and audits in fast-paced, high-growth settingsNetSuite experienceExperience working with cross-functional teams across multiple time zonesProven experience building, mentoring, and scaling accounting teamsClear, concise communication, ability to distill complex accounting topics for non-finance audiencesSound judgment and bias to action in ambiguous, fast-moving environmentsBonus SignalBig 4 public accounting experienceExperience in high-growth B2B SaaS or AI companiesDirect experience leading a NetSuite implementationCompensationThe expected salary range for this role is $200,000 - $256,000, determined by location, skills, experience, market demands, and internal pay parity.Why Become a MarqvisionerFlexible PTO to take the time you need, when you need itHybrid work model designed for focus and flexibilityEquity in every offer — because you should own a piece of what you're buildingComprehensive health, dental, and vision coverage, plus parental leave to support your life outside of work401(k) plan to help you save for the futureA one-time home office stipend for remote employees — because your setup should work as hard as you doOne Medical membershipProtect what's original.
