5th Grade Teacher

The 5th Grade Teacher is responsible for providing engaging, standards-based instruction that supports students’ academic, social, and emotional growth. This role fosters a positive classroom environment where students are encouraged to become confident, responsible, and lifelong learners. Key Responsibilities Plan and implement engaging lessons aligned with Illinois Learning Standards. Create a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment that promotes student success. Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse academic and social-emotional needs of students. Assess student progress regularly and provide meaningful feedback to students and families. Utilize a variety of instructional strategies, technology, and educational resources to enhance learning. Collaborate with colleagues, administrators, and support staff to support student achievement. Maintain accurate student records, grades, and classroom management procedures. Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student progress and classroom activities. Participate in professional development opportunities, faculty meetings, and other school-related responsibilities. Qualifications Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL). Appropriate endorsement for elementary or middle grade instruction. Strong instructional and classroom management skills. Excellent communication, organizational, and collaboration abilities.
