Production Lead - 2nd Shift

Production Lead 2nd Shift Openwork is hiring an experienced Production Lead 2nd Shift for a growing manufacturing company in the Northeast Houston area. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who enjoys working on the production floor, supporting team members, and helping operations run safely and efficiently. If you have manufacturing leadership experience and enjoy leading by example, we'd love to hear from you. What You'll Be Doing: Lead and support daily production operations. Assist operators across multiple production areas as needed. Help ensure production goals, quality standards, and safety expectations are met. Coordinate daily priorities with supervisors and production scheduling. Inspect products using tape measures, micrometers, and other measuring tools. Complete production reports and required documentation. Perform daily forklift, overhead crane, and respirator inspections. Report production issues, equipment concerns, and safety hazards. Assist with inventory, material handling, truck loading, and housekeeping. Promote a safe, organized, and team-focused work environment. What We're Looking For: High school diploma or GED required. 35 years of manufacturing or production experience. Previous experience as a Production Lead, Team Lead, Shift Lead, or similar role preferred. Sit-down propane forklift experience required. Overhead crane experience highly preferred. Ability to wear a respirator throughout the shift. Strong math and measurement skills, including tape measures and micrometers. Ability to read and write in English. Knowledge of OSHA and manufacturing safety practices. Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills. Dependable, safety-focused, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
