EEO Specialist Duties
You will serve as an Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) Specialist whose primary duty is to provide EEO counseling at the informal complaint stage to employees and applicants for employment.
You will manage caseload and other program responsibilities including meeting legal time requirements imposed by regulations and other job requirements.
You will utilize working knowledge of policies and practices including appeals and grievances, labor relations, position classification, recruitment and selection to know when to answer questions, resolve problems, etc.
You will conduct studies and surveys or develop questionnaires as needed to identify issues or barriers to equal employment opportunity when necessary for fact-finding and/or as requested.
You will make presentations, analyze complaints, write reports, and interface one-on-one with employees and applicants for employment, managers and supervisors.
You will apply a high degree of skill in face-to-face communication and using mediation and negotiation techniques to facilitate resolution and/or better define issues.
