Bilingual (Spanish) Licensed Professional Counselor

Duties Conduct thorough mental health assessments and diagnostic evaluations using clinical documentation standards and ICD coding (International Classification of Diseases) to determine client needs. Provide counseling sessions incorporating evidence-based practices such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-focused therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and behavioral therapy tailored to adults. Develop personalized treatment plans aligned with clinical ethical guidelines, HIPAA regulations, and patient care standards; monitor progress through ongoing patient assessment and documentation in EMR/EHR systems. Facilitate specialized therapies including addiction counseling, and behavior management for clients with co-occurring disorders or developmental disabilities. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care plans, conduct case management activities, and ensure continuity of treatment across outpatient and telehealth settings. Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with HIPAA and clinical documentation standards; participate in clinical research or data collection efforts as needed. Experience Proven experience working with diverse populations in outpatient settings Demonstrated expertise in psychotherapy modalities Strong background in crisis intervention, trauma-focused therapy (including PTSD care), grief counseling, and behavior management techniques. Experience working with co-occurring disorders is highly desirable. Knowledge of ICD-10 coding systems for accurate medical documentation; proficiency with EMR/EHR platforms is required. Familiarity with telehealth therapy practices and experience providing remote mental health services effectively. Ability to communicate fluently in Spanish and English; cultural competence in serving diverse client backgrounds is essential. Relevant licensure as an LPC with active state certification; additional certifications in social work or psychiatric rehabilitation are advantageous.
