Description of Responsibilities

• Conduct a spectrum of ultrasound examinations such as abdominal, obstetric, gynecological, vascular, and small parts imaging
• Prioritize patient comfort and safety during procedures by clearly explaining each step with empathy
• Work in conjunction with radiologists and referring physicians to provide exceptional diagnostic images
• Maintain and operate ultrasound equipment efficiently, training others as needed while promptly reporting any malfunctions
• Accurately log procedures and manage patient records within the electronic medical system
• Stay abreast of advancements in ultrasound imaging methods and best practices

Education Requirements

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a related field
• Preference for completion of a CAAHEP-accredited Sonography program

Certifications Required

• Current certification by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or equivalent
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is preferred
