Looking for a PT position where you can actually focus on those you serve?
The Larc Norcross School is seeking a Physical Therapist for a six-month position from October 1, 2026 through April 1, 2027, providing services to students with multiple disabilities and complex medical needs.
At Larc Norcross, physical therapy looks a little different. Our PTs have the time to get to know their students, work alongside an interdisciplinary team, and focus on the positioning, mobility, equipment and supports that help each student participate more fully in their day.
What You’ll Do
- Provide physical therapy services in accordance with student IEPs
- Evaluate students and develop appropriate goals and recommendations
- Address positioning, mobility, transfers, adaptive equipment, and access to the school environment
- Collaborate closely with teachers, paraprofessionals, nurses, OTs, SLPs, families, and other members of the team
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide progress reporting and required documentation
- Train and support staff in safe positioning, transfers, mobility, and other PT-related needs
Why This Position Is Different
Our therapists work as part of the educational team, with a manageable caseload and an emphasis on quality, collaboration, and what each student needs to become as independent as possible.
The initial commitment is just six months—but it does not necessarily have to end there. Beginning in April, there may be an opportunity to remain at Larc Norcross one day per week providing physical therapy services in our Adult Program.
Qualifications
Candidates must hold a current New Jersey Physical Therapist license with a School Physical Therapist endorsement strongly preferred . Experience working with children with multiple disabilities or complex medical needs is preferred, but we are also happy to talk with therapists interested in bringing their skills into this very different kind of setting.
Come spend six months doing PT a little differently. You may decide you want to stay.
