Job Overview:The main responsibility of a Registered Respiratory Therapist is to deliver respiratory care to both inpatients and outpatients. This role encompasses therapeutic, diagnostic, educational, and invasive procedures primarily for adult patients.
Qualifications:Required:
- Registered Respiratory Therapist certification
- Active New Jersey Respiratory license
- RRT/CRT certification (mandatory)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification is essential
- CRT certification
- Full-Time
- Night Shift
- Facilitates patient treatment plans and supports life by administering inhalants and managing mechanical ventilators.
- Operates therapeutic gas delivery systems, environmental control systems, and aerosol generators. Provides respiratory therapy treatments, including bronchopulmonary drainage.
- Assists with breathing exercises, monitors physiological responses to therapy (such as vital signs, arterial blood gases, and blood chemistry), and oversees treatments administered by aides, technicians, and assistants.
