Business Analyst II – AMZ26516.2 Location: San Francisco, CA Duration: Full‑time (40 hrs/week, 8:00am‑5:00pm) Salary: $103,522 – $143,100 per year (plus sign‑on bonus, restricted stock units, and comprehensive benefits) Responsibilities Support senior management by managing metrics reporting and performing data mining and big data analysis to provide strategic advice on business forecast models. Collect business use cases, research and evaluate opportunities to help Amazon leverage its data to support business functions through complicated mathematical modeling. Analyze forecast and metrics data and automate reports for promotional and project launch campaigns. Utilize database technologies, including SQL, ETL, and Oracle, to design, develop, and evaluate highly innovative business intelligence tools and automated reports for campaign targeting and optimization. Transform complicated business problems into mathematical modeling and provide data‑driven solutions. Perform statistical analysis such as clustering, cross‑session and panel data regression using R, SAS, STATA, and SPSS. Establish scalable, efficient, automated processes for large‐scale data analyses, model development, model validation, and model implementation. Qualifications Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or a related field. At least one year of experience as a Business Analyst, Business Intelligence Engineer, Data Engineer, or related occupation. Proficiency with database technologies (SQL, ETL, Oracle) and processing large, multi‑dimensional datasets from sources such as Kibana, OBIEE, Datanet or equivalent tools. Experience performing statistical analysis and workforce optimization using systems such as EWFM, IEX, or Aspect – Forecasting. Advanced skills in MS Excel, including macros; knowledge of Erlang is a plus. Ability to maintain data integrity to assure input/output accuracy in various databases.
