Gerber Collision & Glass – Temple, TX We seek an experienced Porter to support quality repairs by maintaining vehicle and shop cleanliness and ensuring a consistent “WOW” operating experience. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the job. Key Job Responsibilities Ensure consistent execution of the WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan. Maintain daily housekeeping of the interior of the office, including emptying garbage cans, cleaning floors, dusting countertops and work areas. Maintain daily housekeeping of the interior of the production area, emptying waste cans, sweeping floors, disposing of unwanted vehicle parts, and placing tools and equipment in their proper location. Maintain parking lots and grounds orderly, including shoveling sidewalks when necessary. Pre‑wash customer vehicles before repairs begin; conduct exterior and interior cleanup after repairs are complete. Transport customer vehicles to sublet locations for repairs. Education & Experience Required High School diploma or GED preferred. 1–2 years of prior automotive cleaning, porter, or maintenance experience preferred. Automotive experience preferred. Clear, close vision required. Minimum age 18 years. Valid driver’s license. Strong attention to detail required. Required Skills & Abilities Customer service abilities. Positive attitude. Trustworthy and reliable. Willingness to learn. Other Requirements Pulling/pushing, carrying, walking 5+ minutes. Sitting and standing 5+ minutes. Stoop, kneel, crouch, and/or crawl 1+ minute. Operate a motor vehicle. Lift up to 50 pounds. Withstand exposure to working near moving mechanical parts.
