Role Description Conduct thorough evaluations for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients utilizing standardized assessments and observational skills. Craft individualized treatment strategies that cater to both short-term objectives and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing requirements. Deliver targeted one-on-one speech therapy sessions aiming at enhancing communication, language fluency, voice, and swallowing capabilities. Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team including physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to ensure comprehensive care approaches. Provide education to patients and their families to foster progress beyond the clinic. Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and therapeutic interventions to ensure seamless care during the entire treatment process. Document treatment facets accurately and punctually in adherence to state, federal, and organizational protocols. Engage in continuous learning and peer discussions to stay at the forefront of speech-language pathology innovations. Required Education A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Successful completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if you have not yet obtained ASHA certification. Certification Requirements State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist . Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within the first 30 days of employment.
