The Production Associate operates a variety of food processing and baking equipment to support high-volume production in a clean, safety-focused environment. This role helps meet hourly and daily production goals while ensuring product quality and adherence to food safety standards.

• Operate a variety of food processing and baking equipment, including ovens and packaging machinery, in accordance with established procedures and safety guidelines.
• Set up machines and production lines at the start of shifts to ensure proper operation and readiness for production.
• Monitor equipment during operation to identify and resolve basic issues, making adjustments as needed to maintain consistent output.
• Work on the production line to meet hourly and daily production goals while maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency.
• Perform routine quality control checks to ensure products meet specifications and food safety requirements.
• Follow all food safety, hygiene, and sanitation protocols, including proper use of protective gear.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area by regularly cleaning equipment and workstations and promptly addressing any spills or hazards.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to support smooth production flow and communicate any production or equipment concerns.
• Follow written and verbal instructions accurately and complete assigned tasks in a timely manner.
• Support continuous improvement efforts by adhering to best practices and suggesting improvements to processes when appropriate.

• Experience working in a production environment operating some type of machinery.
• Ability to operate and monitor food processing and baking equipment, such as ovens and packaging machines.
• Basic mechanical aptitude to set up machines and make minor adjustments during operation.
• Understanding of production line processes and ability to work efficiently to meet production targets.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality control in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and food handling guidelines consistently.
• Strong work ethic with reliability in attending scheduled 12-hour shifts.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a non-climate-controlled environment that may become warm near ovens.

• Prior experience in a bakery or food processing environment is a plus but not required.
• Previous exposure to quality control processes in manufacturing or production settings is beneficial.
• Comfort working with repetitive tasks on a production line while maintaining accuracy and focus.
• Willingness to learn new equipment and procedures as production needs evolve.
• Ability to work collaboratively with a team and communicate clearly with coworkers and leadership.

The role is based in a food processing facility with 12-hour shifts, Monday through Thursday, with additional work on Fridays as production needs require, providing a guaranteed 48+ hours per week. Standard shift hours run from 6:30 to 6:30. The environment is non-climate-controlled and can become warm, particularly near ovens. As part of food safety and hygiene requirements, employees wear a hair net and beard net when applicable, and production staff wear a smock while working. The facility emphasizes cleanliness and safety, with established protocols to maintain a professional and orderly workspace.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Yadkinville, NC.

The pay range for this position is $16.50 - $17.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
