About the Position

Patients in this unit often require arterial line monitoring, peritoneal dialysis, and administration of vasoactive drip medications managed by a physician. Responsibilities include post-biopsy care, monitoring, and complex glucose management. The role involves working nights and will consist of either 36 or 48 hours per week. Block scheduling cannot be accommodated or guaranteed. Every other weekend is required, and employees must work 2 out of 3 winter holidays. There is a maximum of 40 hours approved for time off. Candidates must adhere to the floating policy of the facility and have prior Epic experience. This unit provides care for patients with kidney, liver, and pancreas failure, as well as post-transplant complications. They may also care for pre-transplant patients requiring specialized care. Staffing supports include IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, and social services. Special equipment utilized includes IV pumps, ECG monitors, and bedside telemetry monitors. Travelers are expected to float within their scope of practice as necessary. This position requires managing various patient care protocols and being skilled in handling advanced medical equipment.
