Machine Operator

Shift: 6:00 PM-6:00 AM

Hourly Rate: $25.35 an hour + $1.50 shift differential

Reporting to the Supervisor, you will set up and operate production equipment for sauce manufacturing while ensuring product quality, accuracy, and adherence to safety and sanitation standards on a rotating 6pm to 6am shift schedule.

A Taste of Your Responsibilities

• Set up and operate production equipment related to sauce operations, including kettles, contherms, sanitation equipment, depositor, and freezer.
• Monitor line performance and achieve consistent production and cleanliness standards.
• Instruct and support line workers to ensure proper line operation.
• Assemble and prepare ingredients and materials for the sauce making process.
• Weigh ingredients and prepare batches according to formulas and recipes.
• Combine ingredients using liquefiers and batch tanks to produce finished sauce products.
• Complete accurate production records and maintain inventory tracking systems.
• Return raw materials and finished products to storage areas using inventory systems.
• Perform line and equipment sanitation procedures following company standards.
• Follow Good Manufacturing Practices and maintain a safe working environment.
• Comply with plant safety rules and use required personal protective equipment.
• Perform other responsibilities as assigned by management.

Ingredients Required for Your Success

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience in a manufacturing or food production environment.
• Proficiency working with numbers including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, percentages, and decimals.
• Experience using a calculator, computer systems, printers, and process control equipment.
• Experience completing production documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
• Forklift operation experience and knowledge of battery room procedures.
• Knowledge of sanitation standards and food safety practices.
• Strong teamwork skills with the capability to work with limited supervision.
• Understanding of and commitment to following plant safety rules and procedures.

Physical Requirements

• Being on your feet, walking around the facility, climbing stairs/ladders or kneeling for extended periods of time.
• Performing consistent repetitive tasks.
• Frequently lifting, pushing or carrying materials.
