We are seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) who is excited to help establish a strong therapy program while delivering individualized, patient-centered care in a collaborative and supportive environment. Be part of a new skilled nursing therapy partnership Help build a strong therapy program from the beginning Join Blue Stone Therapy’s established and growing Omaha-area team Collaborative interdisciplinary rehabilitation team Supportive OT/COTA collaboration Opportunities for professional growth and development Competitive benefits for eligible employees What You'll Do Provide skilled occupational therapy interventions under the direction of a licensed Occupational Therapist Carry out individualized treatment plans to improve independence with daily activities, functional mobility, strength, coordination, and safety Help patients develop or regain skills needed to participate as independently as possible in everyday activities Educate patients, families, and caregivers on adaptive strategies, equipment, and techniques to support independence and safety Monitor and communicate patient progress, response to treatment, and changes in condition to the supervising Occupational Therapist Collaborate with therapy, nursing, and other healthcare professionals to support coordinated patient care Complete timely, accurate documentation in accordance with regulatory and organizational standards Contribute to the development and success of a new therapy program through teamwork, communication, and patient-centered care Requirements Minimum Qualifications Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program Current Occupational Therapy Assistant license or eligibility for licensure in Nebraska What Will Help You Succeed Strong clinical and patient care skills Excellent communication and patient education abilities Passion for helping patients achieve greater independence and meaningful functional outcomes Ability to work collaboratively with Occupational Therapists and an interdisciplinary care team Positive attitude and willingness to help build a strong therapy program Skilled nursing, post-acute, or geriatric experience is helpful but not required About Blue Stone Therapy Since 2009, Blue Stone Therapy has partnered with skilled nursing and senior living communities throughout the Midwest to deliver high-quality physical, occupational, and speech therapy services.
