CATCH CREW LEAD REQUIRMENTS 

- Must have a valid driver's license (Good driving record).

- Must be able to read and write English, as leads are responsible for completing paperwork when covering for the supervisor.

- Must ensure all catchers are following all animal welfare guidelines. 

In addition to these responsibilities, leads work as part of the catch crew. This includes helping set up the cage block, opening doors, walking birds to help reduce DOAs, picking up strays, and assisting with catching. As a chicken catcher, you will need to catch certain number of birds and know the proper placement techniques with birds being put into the cages.

DESCRIPTION OF ACTIVITIES

• Acquire and put on all required PPE (Safety glasses, safety vest, gloves (optional), arm sleeves (optional)).
• Perform routine stretches before starting daily duties. 
• Walk the house (bed the birds)
• Wait for cage to be set on blocks
• Open cage door
• Catch correct amount of birds
• Load birds in cage one hand at a time.
• Repeat process until cage is full.
• After proper amount of birds placed in cage, shut the cage door

Hours: 6:00 am - 3:00 pm, overtime as needed
