Assistant Manager - Part-time

The role provides leadership and direction to the entire store team, along with knowledge and experience that can lead to promotion to higher management positions under the guidance of experienced personnel. Primary Duties Successful operation of the store in the absence of the Store Manager Provide excellent customer service and assist customers throughout the store Answer phone calls and respond to customer inquiries Recommend products and suggest add‑on sales Merchandising and compliance with all company policies Setting promotional signage Checking and retrieving merchandise from the stockroom as needed Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked sales floor Opening and closing of the store Training newly hired associates Directing sales and cashier associates throughout the store Inventory control and enforcement of loss‑prevention policies Enforcement of all company policies Perform or may perform additional duties as assigned by management and supervision Qualifications Must be 21 years of age or older Strong communication and interpersonal skills Basic organizational and/or applicable math skills Detail‑oriented and reliable Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment Basic knowledge of sporting goods is a plus Must possess a High School diploma, GED, or High School Equivalency Exam Flexible scheduling Upon accepting a position, candidate will be subject to E‑Verify Light to moderate lifting may be required, with or without reasonable accommodation Flexible Schedule, Employee Merchandise Discount, Ticket Discounts to Top Attractions and Events, Employee Referral Program, Paid Sick Leave (Accrued at the rate of one hour of sick pay for every 40 hours worked Seattle: 30 hours worked ), Dental, Medical Insurance (Must regularly work at least 1,560 hours per year to maintain Medical, Dental eligibility), Savings and Profit‑Sharing Plan – 401k/Roth IRA (Must work at least 1,000 hours per year to qualify for 401k eligibility).
