Position: Behavioral Health Registered Nurse

Shift: Day 3x12-Hour (07:00 AM - 07:30 PM)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Behavioral Health Registered Nurse to join our team. This position primarily focuses on geriatric psychiatric care within a short-term acute care hospital setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage milieu and medication management to ensure a safe and therapeutic environment for patients.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments and maintain accurate documentation.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide optimal patient care.

Requirements:

• 12 months of permanent behavioral health experience in a short-term acute care hospital (non-psychiatric facility) required.
• Active American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• A permanent Ohio license or a compact license must be in hand at the time of application.
• One recent reference from a managerial position (manager, ANM, supervisor, or director) in the specialty applied for is required.

Additional Information:

• COVID-19 and flu vaccinations are required, with medical or religious exemptions accepted.
• Candidates must be nicotine-free, with specific exceptions for nurses and CSTs.
• Background checks and license history will be conducted, and candidates with any open cases or license hits will not be considered.
• All travel candidates must successfully complete pre-start training modules and assessments.
