Title: QA/QC Technical Reviewer - Structural

Position Description

• Enterris Associates is seeking a QA/QC Technical Reviewer, Structural to support Educational projects.

Essential Job Duties

• Performs technical review of proposed structural plans and specifications submitted by Owner's personnel, consultant staff, or commissioned architects and engineers for construction projects.
• Provides review comments regarding adherence to Owner's standards, quality of development and documentation of structural design, coordination with other disciplines, and other technical issues as required.
• Provides comments, lessons learned, and research to support the development and maintenance of the Owner's Design Guidelines, including the Owner's Design Guide, Educational Specifications, Guide Technical Specifications, and Standard Technical Drawings for the Facilities Services.
• Provides comments and lessons learned to update and maintain Owner's policies and guides for the design of educational facilities and/or Owner's construction structural specifications to assure conformance to building codes and safety requirements and to improve the quality and economy of construction, maintenance, and operation.
• Coordinates activities with those of other units of Design and A/E Technical Support and other Owner's organizations.

Education/Training/Certificates/Professional Experience Level/Other Qualifications

• Required: Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering or a related field
• Ten (10) years full-time paid professional experience in structural engineering planning, design, and construction of educational facilities.
• Two (2) years of additional qualifying experience may be substituted for up to 2 years of the educational requirement, on a year-for-year basis, totaling Twelve (12) years.
• Required: valid California Professional Engineer (PE) license, State Board for Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors.
• Preferred: valid California Structural Engineer license (SE), State Board for Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors.
• Working knowledge of architecture and structural engineering practices applied to repairs, modernizations, and new construction of K-12 school buildings.
• Familiarity with state and local building codes and construction industry standards, including California Building Code (CBC), CalGreen Energy Code, OSHA, ASHRAE, and ASTM, as well as Division of State Architect (DSA) and California Department of Education (CDE) requirements.
• Familiarity with LEED, CHPS, and other sustainability requirements, and commissioning processes and documentation.
• Ability to perform quality assurance/quality control, constructability, and peer reviews of Owner's projects in design and construction.
• Ability to provide structural technical review and advice on proposed product substitutions, deviations from Owner's standards, and technical questions from OARs, Inspectors, Design Managers, and A/E teams.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to write clear, concise reports and technical descriptions.

Compensation

• This role is salaried/exempt with a base annual salary range of $154,300.00 - $164,300.00 and commensurate with skill, education, experience, and work location.
• This role is bonus eligible after 6 months of employment.
