Lactation Consultant PRN

Position Details Schedule: PRN (per diem). No set schedule or guaranteed hours; PRN staff sign up for shifts to fill staffing gaps. Schedule is determined in 6‑week tracts. Estimated department need is based on volume. Shift options: day, evening, or nights depending on department need. Location: Forsyth Medical Center, Winston‑Salem, NC. Responsibilities Provides breastfeeding guidance to patients, families, staff, and community in delivering education, information and training that responds to individualized needs in accordance with current policies and procedures. Qualifications Education: High School Diploma, required. 4‑Year/Bachelor’s Degree, preferred. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, preferred. Experience: Minimum of one year of experience in mother/baby care or breastfeeding education, required. Licensure/Certification/Registration: Current IBCLC certification, required. Current RN licensure in appropriate state, preferred. Additional Skills: Ability to successfully complete generic and department‑specific skills validation and competency testing.
