Central Operations Specialist

Our client is seeking a Central Operations Specialist III to join their Banking Operations team. This individual will play a key role in supporting legal processing functions while assisting with operational tasks, including wire verification and other back-office banking activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of legal documentation and regulatory deadlines, along with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a detail-oriented environment.

Location: Riverside, California (Onsite)

Key Responsibilities

• Process and administer legal orders affecting customer accounts, including levies, subpoenas, summons, garnishments, and other court-ordered requests.
• Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements by accurately tracking response deadlines and maintaining detailed documentation.
• Verify and process wire transactions while maintaining operational accuracy and adherence to internal controls.
• Maintain legal processing logs and monitor open items to ensure timely completion.
• Assist with additional operational functions and projects as needed.
• Collaborate with the team to support overall department objectives and ensure operational continuity.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to departmental efficiency.
• Provide guidance and mentoring to junior team members.

Required Qualifications

• Previous experience in legal processing within a bank, credit union, or financial institution.
• Strong understanding of levies, subpoenas, garnishments, summons, and legal documentation requirements.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage deadlines and prioritize work effectively.
• Five or more years of financial institution operations experience.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative when needed.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience performing both legal processing and banking operations functions in a combined role.
• Experience with wire processing or wire verification.
• Familiarity with Fiserv Premier, Navigator, and Wire Exchange.
• Previous experience working at a community bank, regional bank, or smaller financial institution.
• Advanced experience in reconciliations, ACH, or accounting functions.
