About this role Experienced Commodity / Account Management & Strategic Sourcing professional, overseeing supplier selection and contract negotiation. Responsible for partnering with internal clients and stakeholders to identify sourcing needs and improve sourcing strategy. Key Responsibilities Executes commodity / account management and strategic sourcing strategy. Implements supply chain strategies. Evaluates and selects vendors based on capability, quality, reliability, and price competitiveness. Negotiates or awards contracts within specified spending limits, and develops new qualified sources of supply. Partners with internal clients and stakeholders to identify sourcing needs and improve sourcing strategy. Analyzes suppliers' operations to determine factors that affect prices and lowest cost consistent with quality, reliability, and ability to meet required schedules. Basic Qualifications Bachelor's Degree Preferred Qualifications Degree in business management, procurement or supply chain preferred Excellent verbal and written communications skills Cost reduction project leadership experience in a related environment preferred Technical acumen / understanding of commodity management and ability to quickly learn products and industry Ability to work effectively with cross-cultural suppliers on technical and logistics issues Highly organized with strong attention to detail, and superior follow-up and follow-through skills Team player and influencing skills required to establish and sustain a lean culture Strong negotiation skills #J-18808-Ljbffr Carrier
