Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Telemetry PCU - Progressive Care Unit Discipline: RN Start Date: 09/14/2026 Duration: 14 weeks 48 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel ```htmlJob Opportunity – Registered Nurse (RN) – Intermediate Care / Progressive Care Unit – Georgia Start Date: September 14, 2026 Location: Georgia Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants Schedule: 3x12 or 4x12 hour shifts available (indicate preference upon application); typically every other weekend; floating within facility as needed; rare call with 2-hour response time Highlights: 32-bed overflow Intermediate Care Unit serving adult to geriatric patient population Patient ratio of 1:5-6; diverse case mix including cardiac arrhythmias, CHF, chest pain, renal, pulmonary conditions, post-cardiac cath, DKA, and surgical overflow Epic EMR system (preferred), Pyxis, and SBAR communication protocols Contract length determines orientation hours; full compliance required prior to start Maximum 7 days requested time off per contract; holiday coverage required based on assignment period Experience managing continuous IV medications is mandatory including cardiac drips, anticoagulants, diuretics, and insulin drips Requirements: Active Georgia or Compact RN license required at time of submission Minimum 2 years of RN experience; prior travel experience required (first-time travelers not accepted) Current BLS and ACLS certifications required Demonstrated experience managing cardiac drips (Amiodarone, Cardizem, Dobutamine, Dopamine, Milrinone, Nitroglycerin), diuretics (Bumex, Lasix), anticoagulants (Aggrastat, Argatroban, Heparin), and insulin drips Strong arrhythmia management skills, cardioversion experience, TR Band management, and post-cardiac cath care Epic charting experience preferred; patient ratio experience up to 1:6 Competency in telemetry monitoring, central line care, blood product administration, feeding tube management, and IV access/management Why It's a Great Opportunity: This progressive care position offers the chance to utilize advanced nursing skills in a dynamic intermediate care environment with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and radiology.
