Registered Nurse – Cardiac Telemetry

Schedule - Shift Pattern: Typically every-other-weekend coverage - Weekend Shifts: Approximately 6 per contract

Assignment Details - Contract Length: 8 weeks - Guaranteed Hours: Varies by contract length

Requirements - RN Licensure: GA or Compact license required at time of submission - Experience: Minimum of 2 years RN experience with travel experience required - Certifications: BLS, ACLS - Skills: Experience managing continuous IV medications, including: - Cardiac drips such as Amiodarone, Cardizem, Dobutamine, Dopamine, Milrinone, Nitroglycerin - Insulin drips - Diuretics: Bumex, Lasix - Anticoagulants: Aggrastat, Argatroban, Heparin - Competencies: Telemetry/arrhythmia interpretation, cardioversion, hemodynamic monitoring, TR band care

Roles & Responsibilities - Provide direct patient care to adults and geriatrics in a telemetry unit - Monitor and interpret telemetry readings - Administer continuous IV medications as prescribed - Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive patient care - Participate in rapid response and code team as necessary - Conduct patient assessments and document care accurately

Compliance / Notes - Orientation: Approximately 36 hours - All compliance documents are due the Tuesday prior to start - Holiday Policy: Travelers are expected to work major holidays during the assignment - Telemetry competency exam is required
