RN Flex Pool

The Registered Nurse in the HI - RN Flex Pool - Nights role provides skilled nursing care across various medical and surgical units, including Medical, Laulima (surgical acute), and Cardiovascular units. This position requires flexibility to float between units, delivering patient assessments, medication administration, treatment planning, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams. The nurse must maintain professional standards, adhere to clinical protocols, and ensure patient safety during 12-hour night shifts. Responsibilities:

• Provide nursing care to patients in Medical, Laulima (surgical acute), and Cardiovascular units.
• Perform patient assessments, medication administration, and treatment planning.
• Float between units as needed, adapting to different patient populations and care requirements.
• Utilize equipment such as Meditech EMR, Pyxis, wound vac, and chest tubes.
• Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams to ensure quality patient care.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities.
• Adhere to professional nursing attire and dress code standards.

• Active Registered Nurse license in the state of Hawaii by the start of assignment.
• Minimum of 2 years and up to 10 years of nursing experience.
• BLS certification required.
• Ability to work night shifts (12-hour shifts from 18:45 to 07:15).
• Strong clinical assessment, medication administration, and treatment planning skills.

• ACLS certification.
• Preferred certifications: PALS, Procedural Sedation, TNCC, ENPC.

• Must have Hawaii RN license prior to start; no medical or religious exemption for immunity documentation.
• Floating to multiple units including Medical, Laulima, and Cardiovascular units.
• Nurse-to-patient ratios vary by unit: Medical (1:8 nights), Laulima (1:6), Cardiovascular (1:4).
• Professional nursing attire required (clean scrubs).

• 12-hour night shifts from 18:45 to 07:15.
• Scheduled 36 hours per week following orientation.
• No guarantee of hours; shift assignments based on unit needs.
