Grill Cook

We are looking for a grill cook to prepare food to the executive chef’s specifications and to set up stations for dinner service. Line cook duties will consist of assisting the executive and sous chefs with their daily operating tasks. The successful candidate will play a key role in contributing to our guests satisfaction and goals.
Responsibilities
o Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies and tools
o Prepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces)
o Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
o Answer, report and follow executive or sous chef’s instructions
o Clean up station and take care of leftover food
o Stock inventory appropriately
o Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely organized fashion
o Comply with state and federal nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
o Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and guests

MUST HAVE
cooking experience. Including experience as a line cook, restaurant cook or prep cook (2+ years preferred)
• Available to work weekends, nights, and holidays
• Excellent understanding of various cooking methods and techniques, ingredients, equipment and procedures
• Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks
• Familiar with industry’s best practices
COMPENSATION IS BASED ON EXPERIENCE
