Caregiver Position at Executive Homecare of Fairfax

As a Caregiver at Executive Homecare of Fairfax, you will play a pivotal role in providing essential personal care, assistance, and companionship to our clients in the comfort of their homes. Responsibilities include assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as providing support with bathing, grooming, dressing, and personal hygiene, assisting with mobility, transfers, and ambulation; providing medication reminders according to prescribed schedules and supporting clients in managing their medication routines; assisting with meal planning and preparation, adhering to dietary requirements, and monitoring and encouraging proper nutrition and hydration; engaging clients in meaningful conversations and companionship, accompanying clients to appointments and social activities; observing and reporting changes in clients' health status to the care team, and documenting care provided and any notable observations.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent preferred, a preferred certificate in CNA/HHA/PCA, previous experience as a caregiver or similar role preferred, certification in CPR and First Aid preferred, a compassionate and empathetic attitude, strong communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to follow care plans and work collaboratively within a team, and having a car is preferred. Must have experience with dementia.

Compensation: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
