Job Summary We are seeking a Registered Nurse – Mother/Baby to ensure high quality, efficient patient care in our facility. Responsibilities The Registered Nurse coordinates, supervises, and is accountable for safe professional nursing care of patients within an assigned department. Achieves professional goals set during previous evaluation period. Demonstrates professional behavior and conduct at all times. Maintains good employee/peer relationships and teamwork. Prioritizes work and duties, works well under stressful situations. Demonstrates good communication and customer service skills with patients, families, physicians, peers, and healthcare team. Accountable for direct patient care, applies nursing process, prioritizes care and evaluates outcomes for premature and term neonates with critical medical and surgical conditions. Participates and facilitates discharge planning and cost containment. Documents all aspects of patient care efficiently, accurately, and per policy recommendations. Delegates patient care to licensed or non‑licensed nursing staff based on acuity, needs, staff availability, and qualifications. Participates in Performance Improvement activities. Qualifications Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing. Current TX RN licensure. BCLS required. NRP required within 6 months of hire.
