Accounting Analyst

Salary Range: $80,000-$90,000 per year This is a Boston based opportunity with a 4 day in office expectation (Monday - Thursday) with 1 day remote (Friday). Who We Are We are seeking an Analyst to join our Data Health Accounting team. Are you curious about how data flows through a complex, global e-commerce ecosystem? The Data Health & Monitoring team sits within Wayfair’s Accounting organization and plays a critical role in maintaining the integrity of the company’s financial data. Data Health teams are responsible for ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and completeness of our data and operations. Key functions include maintaining data health, monitoring real-time financial data, and driving process improvements. We monitor data through dashboards and trends to identify irregularities; partner with Engineering and operational teams to resolve upstream issues; and work to reduce topside journal entries through strong root-cause analysis. What You’ll Do Monitor key data-quality dashboards daily to identify anomalies, missing or inconsistent data, and financial irregularities across order, inventory, cost, and revenue flows. Investigate issues using GBQ, SAP data, and system reconciliations, documenting findings clearly and logically for stakeholders. Support the monthly close process by identifying upstream issues that may drive topside journal entries. Track, manage, and validate data issues in partnership with Finance Engineering, Accounting, Finance Operations, and Product/Tech teams. Support the enhancement and automation of a centralized data health monitoring source using AI and Data Hub. Build foundational knowledge of how operational events (shipments, receipts, cancellations, adjustments) translate into financial outcomes. Develop in a hands-on environment where you will own investigations and collaborate with cross-functional partners.
