Job Description

As a Security Officer Building Access Control in Cypress, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed officer in a dynamic retail location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment through strong communication and customer service. In this role, you will bring an agile, reliable, and innovative approach, put people first, and work with integrity and teamwork each day.

Pay Rate: $22.66 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, and/or staff by carrying out assigned security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a retail location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with local management and/or emergency personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout storefront areas, common spaces, parking areas, and the outer perimeter to help identify unusual activity and help to deter unauthorized behavior.
• Monitor entry and exit activity, assist with access control practices, and report maintenance concerns, hazards, and/or policy violations to the appropriate contact.
• Support closing and opening routines, observe customer and employee activity, and provide visible presence throughout the location to help promote an orderly environment.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
