VC Vice President @ NOVO Holdings in San Francisco, CA

Novo Holdings is seeking a MedTech Sr Associate/Vice President to join the Venture Investments team in their San Francisco office. You will be part of our team responsible for originating, analyzing and managing Novo Ventures’ global MedTech private and public equity investments. Efforts in this area are primarily focused on high growth, late stage clinical to early-stage revenue medical technology opportunities. Responsibilities include: Lead the assessment of management teams, clinical rationale, science/technology risk, clinical/regulatory strategy, commercial potential, intellectual property, competitive landscape, revenue projections, and valuation analysis to help determine the overall attractiveness of potential investment opportunities Prepare and present investment materials and supporting documentation associated with potential investments Monitor and assist with management of investments Attend scientific and investor conferences Assist with idea generation and deal origination Assist in operations and other ad hoc tasks to support portfolio management Collaborate with other areas of the organization to support other Novo Holdings activities Requirements We are looking for a candidate with: M.D. (preferred), or Ph.D. in a science or engineering discipline Minimum of 3 years’ experience in one or more of the following: healthcare venture capital, HC management consulting, HC investment banking, MedTech business development, or MedTech product development Experience in evaluating MedTech companies Proficiency with financial statement analysis, accounting, financial modeling, and clinical data analysis Experience working with industry databases (e.g. Citeline, Pitchbook), libraries and other data sources to assist in researching companies, clinical trials, competitive positioning, and commercial opportunities is preferred Personal Qualifications Passion for healthcare investing Excellent communication skills Experience in deal sourcing Astute investment judgment Strong work ethic Strong team player Ability to work with cross-cultural / multi-office teams Organized and detail-oriented, with a demonstrated ability to multi-task Benefits Medical and dental, retirement, 5 months of parental leave regardless of gender, commuting reimbursement, One Medical membership, fitness reimbursement, family planning benefits, home internet reimbursement, daily catered lunches, generous PTO and holiday time. #J-18808-Ljbffr VC Stack
