With the support of more than 30,000 team members, we promote a forward-thinking philosophy that's built on a foundation of trust, dignity, respect, responsibility and clinical excellence.Sterile Processing Tech - Certified Responsibilities:Responsible for the decontamination, prepping, packaging and sterilization of all instrumentation processed through the department following established department procedures.Acts as preceptor, mentor and resource in support of department team members.Required specific skills also includes knowledge of decontamination processes, preparation, and packaging, sterilization techniques based on manufacturer recommendations, and storage of sterilized items, as well as knowledge of sterile technique, instrumentation, equipment, and sterile field set-up and interpreting policies, procedures, and protocols and reviewing performance in compliance with recognized standards.Requirements:High School or EquivalentHSPA (Health System Performance Assessment), CRCST (Certified Registered Central Service Technician), CBSPDT (Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution Technicians).Preferred - Hospital ExperienceFacility: BayCare Health System, Sterile Processing-SFBHLocation: South Florida Baptist HospitalStatus: PRN, Exempt: NoShift Hours: Varies as NeededShift: Shift 4Shift 1 = Days, 2 = Evenings, 3 = Nights, 4 = VariesWeekend Work: Every OtherOn Call: YesHow often will this team member be working remotely?
