OPPORTUNITY HIGHLIGHTS

Our organization is on the lookout for a fellowship-trained, board-certified Cardiothoracic Surgeon to become a part of our esteemed and well-established Cardiac Surgery program at our hospital located in Syracuse, NY.

This full-time position is embedded within a vibrant team comprising five cardiac surgeons alongside a hospital-based Cardiologist group. The clinic and surgical facilities are conveniently located on the hospital grounds, supported by a dedicated team of Surgical PAs who provide round-the-clock coverage in our modern, state-of-the-art hospital environment.

We offer a wide range of cardiology services, including Non-Invasive, Electrophysiology, Interventional, and Structural Heart specialists. Our program has consistently received recognition from independent healthcare quality evaluators as one of the leading cardiac programs in both New York State and across the nation.

Attracting patients from a broad tri-state area centered around Syracuse, our team achieves outstanding outcomes as assessed by the Society of Thoracic Surgeons (STS) criteria. The program provides a comprehensive array of cardiac surgical services, from minimally invasive techniques to complex surgeries utilizing advanced methodologies. Although transplants are not currently performed, our surgical results consistently surpass both state and national standards.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Board certification in General Surgery and Cardiothoracic Surgery
• A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
• Robotic Certification and Experience is advantageous
• Eligibility for or possession of a New York State License

OPPORTUNITY DETAILS:

• Employed position within the hospital
• The program currently handles heart cases annually at our facility
• Clinic and surgical offices conveniently situated on the hospital campus
• Call rotation of 1:5
• Strong in-house support from CT Surgical PAs
• Modern hospital facilities equipped with Cardiothoracic OR rooms
• Robust referral network from both employed and independent regional cardiology practices

RECRUITMENT PACKAGE

• Compensation range of $700,000 - $950,000
• The stated salary represents the initial total compensation range and does not encompass productivity bonuses, quality and performance incentives, extra shift bonuses, or other applicable cash compensation. Additionally, providers typically receive a CME allowance and other benefits from their medical group employer. Please note that this salary range is in accordance with state regulations and may vary based on the aforementioned factors.
