Controller - Project Consultant

Job Description Headfarmer is seeking a dynamic Controller to join our team as a Project Consultant providing accounting support for various client projects across multiple industries, from emerging startups to publicly traded organizations. Oversee financial operations, ensure compliance, and provide strategic financial leadership across client projects. Drive results that enhance client profitability and operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities may include: Oversee and manage all financial operations and accounting functions for client projects, ensuring seamless execution and alignment with business objectives. Ensure strict adherence to GAAP and all relevant regulatory requirements, maintaining the highest standards of financial integrity and accuracy. Develop, implement, and continuously improve internal controls and procedures to safeguard client assets and ensure robust financial governance. Deliver strategic financial insights and actionable recommendations, guiding clients toward optimized financial performance and long-term success. Partner closely with client teams to align financial strategies with overarching goals, driving successful outcomes through proactive collaboration. Lead audit preparations and engage with auditors to ensure thorough and efficient audit processes, providing all necessary documentation and support. Mentor, guide, and support junior accounting staff assigned to project teams, fostering a culture of growth, learning, and excellence. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA certification preferred. 10+ years of progressive experience in accounting or finance, including leadership roles. Strong knowledge of GAAP and proficiency in financial reporting. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Experience in a consulting or project-based environment is highly desired.
