Here are the details on this position.Your role in our mission Play a critical part in ensuring Gainwell is meeting our clients' objectives in important areas. Codes, tests, debugs, implements, and documents programs. Assists in the modification of company products and/or customer/internal systems to meet the needs of the client and/or end-user. Gathers information from the system, analyzes program and time requirements, and prepares documentation to change existing programs. Research and analyze existing systems and program requirements, under periodic supervision. Designs programs for projects or enhancements to existing programs. Writes specifications for programs of low to moderate complexity. Assists in resolving production support problems. Develops and suggests alternative approaches to resolving problems. Develop test plans to verify logic of new or modified programs. Identifies issues as appropriate. Creates appropriate documentation in work assignments such as program code, and technical documentation. Conducts quality assurance activities such as peer reviews. Remains abreast of and research industry technical trends and new development to maintain current skills and remain current with industry standards. On-call rotation – 7 days on callWhat we're looking for 3+ years of applications development and programming experience with C, Linux, job scripts/streams, SQL, and IWS (Integrated Web Services) Experience with resolving cycle abends, and debugging batch code Solid SQL/data analysis skills for troubleshooting and validation Comfortable supporting production issues, defect analysis, data investigation, and end-to-end testing Previous experience working on Medicaid Claims systems is highly desiredWhat you should expect in this role Fully remote opportunity with the option to work anywhere within the United States Opportunities to travel through your work (0-10%) Willingness to work a flexible schedule to accommodate business needs and travel as required Oncall requirements: rotate every 5 weeks to be on call for 7 days Video cameras must be used during all interviews, as well as during the initial week of orientation The deadline to submit applications for this posting is August 31, 2026 The pay range for this position is $60,000 - $80,000 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
