Registered Nurse - CVOR

$2717.28/week -

Job Summary:

The CVOR Registered Nurse is responsible for assessing, planning, and providing specialized perioperative care to cardiovascular surgery patients. This role ensures patient safety, facilitates efficient OR operations, and collaborates with the surgical team to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Assess the needs of each surgical patient and develop individualized care plans tailored to their condition.
  
  
• 
  Implement, evaluate, and adjust the care plan throughout the surgical procedure, prioritizing patient safety.
  
  
• 
  Supervise OR activity, coordinate schedule changes, and ensure the proper assembly of equipment and supplies.
  
  
• 
  Assist anesthesia and monitor the sterile field to maintain a safe and sterile environment.
  
  
• 
  Communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, and the OR team to ensure seamless information flow.
  
  
• 
  Participate in staff development activities including in-services, educational meetings, and continuing education opportunities.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Hold a registered nurse license with an active Michigan state certification.
  
  
• 
  Possess a minimum of 3 years of CVOR experience, with recent travel work preferred.
  
  
• 
  Have current BLS and ACLS certifications through the American Heart Association.
  
  
• 
  Demonstrate proficiency in CVOR skills as documented in the past year's skills checklist.
  
  
• 
  Submit two supervisory reference forms completed within the last two years.
